Tales of the Party ... From the desk of Ang Orasan

5 Kythorn, The Year of Wild Magic

December 12, 2010
Okay, There is most defiantly more to these bandits than we mere robbing and strong arming merchants and travellers if they are treating with Ogres. There are no where near as many Ogre tribes as Goblins and such so the tribal markings should have been easier to identify from my books, but I can't find them anywhere in the history of the region. What I really don't understand is why they would allow a mere human bandit to talk to them like that one was, they are usually short tempered creatures and the three that were there could easily have pounded the 5 or six humans into a fine paste. Apparently though the Bandits did not want to let the fact that had spoken with Ogres to get out, because they came at the party with a force and practised organisation that was beyond normal ruffians and brutes. Had their leader not fallen I doubt we would have seen the return of the party.

Perhaps it was the thought of throwing his sword away in an overenthusiastic swing while fighting the Bandits but Durth looked a little confused this morning and he didn't want to talk about it, At least it looks like they aren't getting nightly visitors anymore, which has to be a plus

With the Ore sample confirmed, The alchemists were ready to return to Mr Evenwood with the good news. Sir Vallis would remain and guard the mine against the goblins should they return, Apparently he considers the battle a defeat and will hold here until Evenwood sends more guards and he can go and hunt the Goblins down and he can redeem himself in the eyes of his Patron 'Red Knight'.
What worries me are the stories circulating the camp fire, Apparently too nights ago, while Durth was on watch,...

1 Kythorn, The Year of Wild Magic

November 20, 2010
Now we are getting more like the stuff of adventure. The battle with the Goblin warband could well be worth a verse at least. Magic a swordplay, foul beasts and knights in armour, The noble defenders, the innumerable hoard, the relief column coming to the rescue.
Okay, so a little artistic licence would be needed maybe, partially due to events like Durth standing and staring one of the Goblin shamans like a confused child for what seemed like an age, and that many of the party would have faced...

30 Mirtul, The Year of Wild Magic

November 10, 2010
The Kobolds have suggested that a wanderer they found on the hills, accompany the party. Apparently he is a Cleric of Grumbar named Morn. I guess we'll see if he can be trusted the hard way.

Why the Goblins in these hills seem to be chasing them as well is also worrying, The first assault could be considered unlucky, but the second seemed less like a raid than an attempt to keep them off balance, Not usual Goblin tactics, they seem to be attacking with more organisation than usual.

But what rea...

28 Mirtul, The Year of Wild Magic

October 29, 2010
Darvin fell, but two others have joined the ranks by the looks of things, a Hagspawn Barbarian a HUGE Orog Fighter. The Orog 'Tharag' appears to be a very brutish, although somewhat efficient swordsman and the Hagspawn 'Bheukindt' appears to have a flamboyant style which could get him into trouble in the future, He was fortunate that his failure to jump atop a crypt was so spectacular that even the wolf mount of the goblin attacking him appeared to find it cripplingly amusing and hampered the...

23 Mirtul, The Year of Wild Magic (continued)

October 22, 2010
These Bandits may be a even more organised than I had thought, and perhaps the small humanoid that ran through the party's camp last night Does have something to do with them after all after he was dragged away by the two that ran from this camp.

Aellias still seems unable to retain his sword in his hand, although the surprise at being dropped in a mist by Darvin probably did not aid his concentration.

I am not sure what called the undead into being as they followed the runners but they are al...

23 Mirtul, The Year of Wild Magic

October 15, 2010
Well that is something that will keep me awake tonight, The sight of the creature face peeling back to reveal skull and sinew is not something to view over breakfast and I just about kept mine down. I have looked at the creature up and apparently it is known as a Krenshar, a fearsome beast but no more than a beast, Their prey must be scarce for them to track the Party as they tend to shy away from humanoids otherwise.

Slightly more worrying for Mr Evenwood's trade would be the Bandits also enc...

13 Mirtul, The Year of Wild Magic

October 11, 2010
I do wish Pav was more organised, The Party was away and back again before I was able to find out they had gone anywhere and hence was not watching the Visiostone. Thank Mystra it has a memory is all I can say.

Although when I got to watch what had happened, It was hardly the stuff of Legend, although I guess they are new to the area and as such would not be trusted with the most sensitive or important of quests as yet. I was surprised that the herbs grown by Greggor had such an effect on the ...

6 Mirtul, The Year of Wild Magic

September 24, 2010
Finally, a group of people with some semblance of skill, or at least with that many rangers they shouldn't get lost. The inclusion of the Mountain Orc, what was his name again, oh yes, 'Durth', is a little disturbing, he's nearly as big as Besk Damask, and only slightly more talkative, but I suppose beggars can't be choosers and they are the best of a bad bunch at the moment.

Durth and the Half Drow 'Aellias' could be in line for a few less than warm welcomes but it could make for some intere...

5 Mirtul, The Year Of Wild Magic

April 29, 2010
Oh my gods, Where does he find them? That last lot the Pav introduced me to were no good whatsoever. The, and I say this in the loosest sense,  'Wizard' they were taking with them actually had wizard written on his hat. Even that would have been okay if he'd at least spelled it correctly.
He's introducing me to a new group tonight. He SAYS thay are a more suitable group. I really hope he is right this time .......
